do so, do that和do it的用法區(qū)別

　　do so,do that(it)
　　
　　doso和dothat(it)常用來代替前面的動詞短語，以免重復(fù)。一般說來，當(dāng)被代替的動詞是表示動作的動詞和短暫動詞時，doso,dothat(it)都可以使用，并無多少差別。如：
　　
　　Johndranktoomuchyesterday.Iwonderwhyhedidso/that/it.但是，在較規(guī)范的英語中，doso和dothat在以下場合不能混用。
　　
　　1.doso主要用來表示同一主語所做前面剛提到過的同一動作。如：Ipromisedtogetthetickets,andIwilldosoassoonaspossible.Thedoctorsaid,“Now,breathedeeply,Charlie.”Charliedoesso.
　　
　　注意：如果動作的發(fā)出者是前面句子的賓語，也多用doso.如：Amanaskedthewritertolookafterhisparrotandthewritersaidhewoulddoso.
　　
　　2.當(dāng)do本身以不定式、現(xiàn)在分詞和動名詞等形式出現(xiàn)時，不管被替代的是謂語動詞還是非謂語動詞，其后一律接so。如：
　　
　　Theydidn’tworkyesterdayandinsteadofdoingso,theywenttothecinema.Wedecidednottogo.Todosowouldhavemadethingsverydifficult.
　　
　　3.當(dāng)替代動詞do的主語與前面所提到的句子的主語不同時，應(yīng)該用dothat或doit.
　　
　　如：Tomsuggestedemptyingallthepocketsonthetable,buttheownerofthepubwouldnotletthemdothat.
　　
　　Ihaven’tgottimetogetthetickets.Who’sgoingtodothat?
　　
　　4.注意，在某些特定的場合，doso,dothat,甚至doit,表示的意義也是不一樣的。試比較：
　　
　　Bob’sgettinghishousepainted,andmoreover,hewantsmetodoso.(Hewantsmetogetmy
　　
　　housepainted.)
　　
　　—Bob’sgettinghishousepainted!
　　
　　—AndI’dliketodothat,too.(Iwanttogetmyhousepainted,too.)
　　
　　Bob’sgettinghishousepainted,andmorevoer,hewantsmetodoit.(Hewantsmetopainthishouse.)
