青玉案·元夕

　　今天是咱們的傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日元宵節(jié)。祝大家元宵節(jié)快樂！ 通常外國人對咱們這種傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日都比較好奇，和老外聊到元宵節(jié)的時候，我們可以說什么呢？

　　元宵節(jié)的英文是Lantern Festival。因為正月十五是一年中第一個月圓之夜，所以叫元宵。

　　The 15th day of the 1st lunar month is the Chinese Lantern Festival because the first lunar month is called yuan-month and in the ancient times people called night Xiao. The 15th day is the first night to see a full moon. So the day is also called Yuan Xiao Festival in China.

　　說完了起源，咱們說說習(xí)俗，元宵節(jié)我們做什么呢？我們賞花燈（colorful lanterns）、猜燈謎（solve the puzzles）、吃元宵（yuanxiao，glutinous rice ball）。

　　元宵有甜的也有咸的，甜的通常會用糖（sugar）、胡桃（Walnuts）, 芝麻（sesame）,桂花（osmanthus flowers）, 玫瑰（rose petals）、棗泥（jujube paste）等東西做餡. 咸的就可能會用肉餡（minced meat）或者蔬菜做餡了。
